Tools of the Trade

Every scrapbook artist needs a trusty set of tools to work with, and these are some of my favorites that I simply can't live without! These are products that I personally use and love, and know that you will love working with them too.

This is the newest "must-have" tool for scrapbookers! The Crop-A-Dile allows you to punch through even the heaviest chipboard and album covers, and set all kinds and sizes of eyelets and rivets with unbelieveable ease. I was blown away by how effortless it was to punch through leather, paper, fabric, plastic, thin wood, chipboard, tin and other materials in the quick demo at CHA in January. Best of all, there are no pieces to lose or forget since everything you need is permanently attached to this all-in-one tool. All I can say is, this tool is awesome!

Rub-ons are all the rage! Here's an awesome tool for applying all sizes of rub-on designs. One end features a ball tip for small areas and letters, the other end features a spoon-type burnisher for larger areas and designs. You'll love it!

One word describes the Tag Maker: COOL! Simply cut any paper or photo using the templates included with the rims, insert into the coordinating tag rim, slide it into the press, squeeze--and VOILA! Your own custom metal rimmed tags! How cool is that?! Tag rims sold separately below for $3.95 per pack of 12 (one shape in 3 sizes).

This is such a nifty tool that we just had to get some for the site! This easy to use kit makes it possible to add pages to the wire bound albums like the one used on the very popular 16 Month Planner that was offered this summer, or to create your own spiral bound books from scratch. The kit includes a punching template to assist with aligning your holes, the rectangular slot punch (used with a hammer, much like an anywhere hole punch), a page insertion tool, and a cleanout tool all in a handy metal case that is small enough to take with you where ever your scrapping takes you!

We've finally found the perfect space-saving eyelet setting tool kit! Why haul the whole toolbox when this petite eyelet setting kit will do nicely? Now you can finally leave the hammer at home. This eyelet setting kit contains all the tools you need to set eyelets on the go without breaking your back or your budget! You'll receive one easy to use spring loaded tool with three anywhere punch heads (1/16", 1/8" and 3/16"), three eyelet setting heads in the same sizes, a 3"x3" setting mat and a nine compartment plastic case that's perfect for holding the basic tool and the heads plus seven compartments for holding a generous supply of eyelets and brads from your stash! (Eyelets are not included.) The case measures a mere 7.5"x 2.75" x 1.25".

Each chalk tool is packaged with six 1/4" chalking pompoms. Simply clamp a pompom into the jaws of the tool, and slide the ring down to secure while chalking. Slide the ring up to release the reusable pompom to change colors. Store pompoms right along the side of your chalk tray. Gives a nice soft application of chalk to your paper or diecuts with a compact 3" size. No more fuzzed out Q-Tips! Order a couple, you won't be sorry.

Order extra pompoms to have one on hand for every color of chalk. These have a much longer life than a Q-Tip, but should still be replaced every so often.

This is one of those tools that I simply cannot live without! It perfectly and cleanly lifts off excess adhesive such as Hermafix Transfer Dots and Tombow Mono Multi glue that has set up. It's awesome!

If you are into the distressed, "Shabby Chic" look, you will LOVE this fun little tool! It's got the equivalent of fine grit sandpaper on one side, and soft foam on the other, plus it's flexible to make sanding any paper, chipboard or cardstock a snap! This nifty item comes from Top Line Creations and measures about 1.75"x2.5" in size.
